IMF delegates in Egypt to discuss $3.2 billion loan

The economic hit men are at it AGAIN.
They never sleep.
An International Monetary Fund team is in Cairo to discuss a $3.2 billion loan to shore up Egypt's faltering economy.
The delegation met on Monday with Central Bank of Egypt officials and leaders of the country's largest political group, the Muslim Brotherhood.
Egypt's finance minister suggested in February that the IMF loan agreement could be signed this month.
Egypt's economy has been battered since the ouster of longtime leader Hosni Mubarak last year and the political turmoil that followed.
Tourism revenues have declined sharply, and a significant portion of foreign currency reserves has been used to prop up the local currency.
The IMF loan, originally rejected by Egypt's new rulers, has come under fierce criticism in the country. Many fear Western powers will seek to strangle Egypt by keeping it debt-ridden to the IMF.
